Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Attendant Kamar – Guest Room Housekeeping Specialist to join our dynamic hospitality team. This full‑time position is based in a thriving hotel located in the heart of the city, serving both business travelers and leisure guests. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every guest room meets the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation, contributing directly to the overall guest experience and the hotel’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing furniture in accordance with brand standards.
- Restock room amenities such as toiletries, linens, and minibar items, and report any inventory shortages to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Inspect rooms after cleaning to verify compliance with quality checklists, addressing any deficiencies immediately.
- Coordinate with the front‑desk team to prioritize room turnover based on guest arrivals and departures.
- Handle guest requests promptly and courteously, such as additional towels, pillow types, or special housekeeping services.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adhering to occupational health and safety protocols.
- Participate in regular training sessions on new cleaning techniques, sustainability practices, and emerging hygiene standards.
- Document any maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing leaks, broken fixtures) and communicate them to the engineering department.
- Assist in deep‑cleaning projects during low‑occupancy periods, such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and upholstery care.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow housekeeping staff, fostering a supportive team culture while also being capable of working independently when required.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a background in hospitality (SMK Perhotelan) is preferred.
- At least 6 months of hands‑on experience or formal training as a Room Attendant; preferably 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Male candidates only; age not exceeding 27 years.
- Demonstrated honesty, discipline, and reliability in previous roles.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding rigorous cleanliness standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work autonomously when necessary.
- Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English proficiency is an advantage.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate loads, and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work the scheduled shift: Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00.
