Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, scanning items, applying discounts, and processing cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.
- Handle cash drawer reconciliation at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions balance and reporting any discrepancies promptly.
- Provide friendly, attentive service to every customer, answering product inquiries, resolving minor issues, and directing them to appropriate store departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including the cash register, surrounding shelves, and promotional displays.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring low‑stock items, reporting shrinkage, and participating in periodic stock‑taking activities.
- Support promotional campaigns by up‑selling and cross‑selling relevant merchandise, contributing to store sales targets.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and store managers to ensure smooth shift handovers and consistent operational standards.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding health, safety, and security, including proper handling of cash and safeguarding customer data.
- Work flexible shift schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the store’s operating hours.
Requirements
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Age: Minimum 25 years old.
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in a retail or cashier role, with a solid understanding of POS systems and cash handling.
- Physical stamina and good health (both physical and mental) to stand for extended periods and manage a fast‑moving checkout line.
- Core personal qualities: honesty, diligence, quickness, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, especially during peak shopping periods.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including Saturdays (store operates Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Residency in or near Bandung to ensure punctuality and familiarity with the local market.
- Basic proficiency with cash register software and a willingness to learn any proprietary systems we employ.
