Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and customer‑focused Cashier to join our fast‑paced retail environment. The successful candidate will be the frontline ambassador of the store, handling monetary transactions with precision while delivering exceptional service to every visitor. Responsibilities
- Process sales transactions efficiently using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, ensuring accurate cash handling, credit card authorizations, and receipt generation.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer at the start and end of each shift, performing regular reconciliations and reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Greet customers warmly, answer product‑related inquiries, and guide shoppers to appropriate sections or promotions.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies while preserving a positive customer experience.
- Monitor inventory levels at the checkout counter, restock bags, promotional materials, and small merchandise as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and store managers to resolve customer complaints, escalations, or technical issues with the cash register.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including verifying identification for age‑restricted items and preventing fraudulent transactions.
- Work effectively under high‑volume periods, such as weekends and promotional events, while maintaining composure and accuracy.
- Contribute to daily store opening and closing procedures, including cleaning the checkout area and preparing end‑of‑day reports.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 35 years old (maximum age limit as per company policy).
- Gender: Male candidates are preferred; however, women with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience in a cashier or customer‑service role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with cash register systems and basic computer literacy.
