Amartha, a leading micro‑finance platform dedicated to empowering small entrepreneurs across Indonesia, is seeking energetic and motivated individuals to join our field team as Mitra & Staff Lapangan – Balikpapa Timur, Balikpapan Utara. This full‑time position will be based in the vibrant regions of Balikpapan Utara and Balikpapan Timur, where you will play a pivotal role in expanding our partner network, supporting household economic development, and ensuring the smooth execution of our financing programmes. Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential new partners (mitra) by conducting outreach activities, community events, and referral campaigns to expand Amartha’s programme footprint.
- Provide one‑on‑one economic accompaniment to household members, offering guidance on budgeting, savings, and responsible loan usage.
- Conduct on‑site surveys and perform feasibility analyses of financing applications, ensuring compliance with internal policies, risk guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor repayment schedules, proactively address any payment challenges, and coordinate with the credit team to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
- Maintain accurate field records, update the CRM system in real time, and generate weekly activity reports for management review.
- Collaborate with local partners, community leaders, and government agencies to foster trust and facilitate smooth programme implementation.
- Participate in regular training sessions, share best practices with peers, and contribute ideas for improving field operations.
- Adhere to the standard working hours (Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑17:00) and travel safely between assigned territories using a personal motorbike.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 18‑32 years (maximum 32 years).

- Own a motorbike and possess a valid SIM C licence.
- Strong personal integrity, honesty, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse community members.
- Resilience and discipline to work independently in a field environment.
- Either fresh graduates (0 years experience) or candidates with prior field or sales experience are encouraged to apply.
- Basic proficiency in administrative and sales‑support tasks, including data entry and report preparation.
