Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Merchandising (SMD) professional to join our team in the Surabaya area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are well‑presented, stocked, and promoted across retail outlets, ultimately driving sales growth and brand visibility.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily merchandising activities, including shelf stocking, planogram compliance, and product rotation to maximize shelf impact.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shop owners, distributors, and key retail staff to foster brand loyalty and secure optimal product placement.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activity, gather pricing intelligence, and identify emerging sales opportunities.
- Collect and report accurate sales data, stock levels, and promotional performance using the company’s Android‑based reporting app (minimum 4 GB RAM required).
- Coordinate and support in‑store promotional events, product demonstrations, and sampling campaigns to boost consumer trial and repeat purchase.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align merchandising tactics with broader sales targets and marketing calendars.
- Ensure all merchandising tools, signage, and point‑of‑sale materials are correctly displayed and in good condition.
- Maintain a personal motorbike and valid SIM C license for timely travel to assigned retail locations throughout the Surabaya region.
- Adhere to company policies on health, safety, and ethical conduct while representing the brand on the field.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce stock‑outs, and enhance the overall shopper experience.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 30 years.
- Gender: Open to all.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in FMCG or Baby Care sales merchandising.
- Possession of a valid motorbike, active SIM C driving licence, and personal Android smartphone with at least 4 GB RAM.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a strong analytical mindset for sales data interpretation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer‑focused attitude.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and responsibility; a genuine desire to work and grow within the organization.
- Flexibility to work the schedule of Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to quickly learn company reporting tools.
