Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Area Sales Executive – Regional Business Development to join our growing team in the Jambi region. This role is pivotal for expanding our market presence, building strong relationships with handset retailers, and driving revenue growth for our portfolio of mobile devices and accessories. The successful candidate will be a self‑motivated professional with a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of the local consumer electronics landscape.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular visits to handset outlets and mobile phone stores across the Jambi area to present and promote company products.
- Demonstrate product specifications, features, and benefits to retailers and end‑customers, ensuring clear understanding of value propositions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional deals, securing orders that align with company sales targets.
- Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate visit reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline status.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer feedback to provide actionable insights for product positioning and promotional strategies.
- Organize and execute in‑store promotions, product launches, and training sessions for retail staff.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop localized advertising and point‑of‑sale materials.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets while adhering to company policies and ethical standards.
- Provide timely feedback on inventory levels, potential stock‑outs, and product return issues.
- Represent the company at trade shows, local events, and industry gatherings to enhance brand visibility.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 in any field is a plus.
- Age: 35 years or younger.
- At least 1 year of proven sales experience, preferably in consumer electronics or mobile accessories.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Proficiency in market analysis, sales data interpretation, and trend identification.
- Must own an Android smartphone with a minimum of 3 GB RAM for field reporting.
- Deep knowledge of the Jambi market, including key retailers, distribution channels, and competitor landscape.
- Willingness to work flexible hours (14–16 hours per day) with one day off per week, schedule adjusted to market needs.
- Friendly, personable, and agile demeanor; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, internet research).
