Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Legal (Job Code: KLI-23) to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of aviation, transportation, and corporate law, providing strategic counsel that safeguards our operations while enabling growth across Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian market. This full‑time position follows a standard Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (08:00 – 17:00) and offers the opportunity to work with senior executives, external counsel, and government authorities on high‑impact projects.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including aircraft leasing contracts, vendor and procurement agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), joint‑venture documents, and strategic partnership memoranda.
- Provide practical, business‑focused legal advice on manpower law, employment matters, termination strategies, and dispute resolution, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- Maintain strict compliance with Indonesian regulations such as the Company Law, OSS‑RBA framework, and sector‑specific aviation and transport statutes.
- Oversee corporate governance functions, preparing board resolutions, shareholder documentation, and timely regulatory filings.
- Develop and maintain standardized legal templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and contract workflow tools that support scalability and consistency across the organization.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with new strategic initiatives, partnerships, and expansion projects, delivering actionable, risk‑balanced recommendations.
- Coordinate with external counsel, notaries, and relevant government agencies to ensure seamless execution of licensing, property/lease matters, and regulatory approvals.
- Support incident management by handling the legal aspects of disputes, regulatory inquiries, and crisis situations, providing clear guidance to operational teams.
- Mentor junior legal staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the legal department.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from a reputable university; a PERADI license (or in progress) is highly desirable.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in a law firm; in‑house experience is a strong plus.
- Deep knowledge of Indonesian company, civil, and manpower law, with an understanding of aviation and transportation regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to draft complex legal documents in both Bahasa Indonesia and English with precision and clarity.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in contract compliance, legal risk assessment, and crisis management.
- Excellent business judgment, high attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, capable of building constructive relationships with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and government officials.
