Introduction
SPX Express, a leading logistics provider in Indonesia, is seeking a dynamic Shift Lead for its Sortation Center (SOC) in Kediri, Jawa Timur. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring that inbound, sortation, bagging, reprocessing, and outbound processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role is pivotal in maintaining high service levels for our customers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the day‑to‑day operational performance of the Sortation Center, supervising all key processes such as inbound receiving, sorting, bagging, re‑processing, and outbound dispatch.
- Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to maintain quality, accuracy, and safety standards.
- Develop and adjust manpower plans in response to fluctuating daily volume, aligning workforce availability with peak and off‑peak periods.
- Track team productivity, equipment utilization, and capacity metrics; identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Conduct daily briefings with the operational team to communicate performance reports, safety updates, and the implementation of 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional departments—including transportation, customer service, and maintenance—to resolve issues that may affect the flow of goods.
- Mentor and coach warehouse staff, fostering leadership skills, accountability, and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
- Prepare shift handover documentation to ensure seamless transition between shifts.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, improving cycle times, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field is preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or warehouse‑lead role.
- Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and manage performance in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably basic English.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and familiarity with 5S or Lean principles.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, and willingness to be stationed in Kediri, Jawa Timur.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with a keen eye for detail and safety compliance.
