Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Shopkeeper – Store Operations and Customer Service Lead to join our vibrant bakery‑café environment. This full‑time position works Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with a rotating shift schedule that may include weekends and public holidays. The ideal candidate will be the friendly face of our store, ensuring every customer enjoys a warm welcome, accurate service, and a delightful experience with our premium cakes, pastries, and specialty desserts.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Provide product knowledge and personalized recommendations for cakes, pastries, and related items.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, handling cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Maintain attractive product displays that meet brand standards and encourage impulse purchases.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with the kitchen and warehouse teams to ensure product availability, and place re‑stock orders as needed.
- Inspect product freshness, verify expiration dates, and remove any items that no longer meet quality standards.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including shelves, counters, and the checkout area.
- Assist in packaging walk‑in orders, pre‑orders, and special event catering packages with attention to detail.
- Support seasonal promotions, in‑store events, and marketing campaigns to drive foot traffic and sales.
- Address basic customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints promptly, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast‑paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA) or equivalent; all education levels are considered.
- Prior experience in retail, bakery, café, or hospitality settings is highly preferred.
