Introduction
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Guru Biologi to join our dynamic team at a reputable junior and senior high school located in the vibrant Gading Serpong area. This full‑time position offers a structured work week from Monday to Saturday, with daily hours from 08:00 to 17:00. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality biology instruction to both SMP (middle school) and SMA (high school) students, fostering a love for the life sciences and preparing learners for national examinations.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging biology curricula aligned with the national education standards for grades 7‑12.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, laboratory activities, and multimedia resources that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, practical exams, and project‑based evaluations, providing timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in the school’s digital management system.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular science clubs, field trips, and biology competitions to enrich the student experience.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and department heads to integrate interdisciplinary projects and ensure curriculum coherence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, areas for improvement, and upcoming events.
- Participate in professional development workshops, faculty meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Uphold the school’s policies on safety, especially during laboratory sessions, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Contribute to the development of school-wide academic strategies, such as tutoring programs and remedial support.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Biology, or a related field with a GPA of at least 3.00.
- Age limit: maximum 32 years old; all genders are welcome.
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience is preferred, though recent graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent command of English; TOEFL or IELTS certification is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective teaching materials and adapt content for both middle‑school and high‑school audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine interest in student mentorship.
- Proficiency in using educational technology, such as virtual labs, learning management systems, and presentation software.
