Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and customer‑focused Retail Store Cashier to join our dynamic team in the Purbalingga area. This role is ideal for individuals who have a foundational background in the food & beverage (F&B) sector and are eager to apply their cash handling skills in a fast‑paced retail environment. As the face of the store, you will ensure smooth transactions, uphold brand standards, and contribute to an exceptional shopping experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, including cash, card, and digital payments.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, performing regular reconciliations.
- Provide friendly, prompt, and professional assistance to customers, answering product queries and handling returns or exchanges per store policy.
- Monitor and restock merchandise in the checkout area to ensure a tidy and inviting presentation.
- Collaborate with floor staff to manage inventory levels, report low‑stock items, and assist in merchandising initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to upsell complementary products, contributing to the store’s sales targets.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security protocols, including proper handling of cash and confidential customer data.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with product knowledge, promotional offers, and POS system updates.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, such as preparing the checkout area, securing cash, and completing end‑of‑day reports.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School (SMA) or Vocational (SMK) diploma, or equivalent.

- Prior experience in the food & beverage sector or a similar customer‑service role is preferred.
- Strong integrity: honest, disciplined, and responsible in handling cash and sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and develop new skills, especially in retail operations and POS technology.
- Residency in Purbalingga or surrounding areas to ensure reliable commute.
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with cash register systems (Sistem Kasir).
