We are seeking a dedicated Freelance Professional Seamstress to join our custom‑project team on a project‑based basis. This role is ideal for individuals who own a personal sewing machine and a workbench, and who take pride in delivering high‑quality, precise stitching. The position is based in Bondowoso, with flexible hours from Monday to Saturday, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while contributing to a dynamic and growing tailoring operation.
Responsibilities
- Interpret detailed design specifications and pattern instructions to produce custom garments and textile items.
- Perform precise, fine‑stitch sewing using both industrial and home‑sewing equipment, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
- Manage the full workflow of each assignment: from material preparation, cutting, stitching, to final quality inspection.
- Maintain an organized home work‑station, keeping tools, fabrics, and accessories tidy and ready for immediate use.
- Meet daily and weekly production targets while adhering to quality standards and client timelines.
- Communicate progress, potential issues, and completion status promptly to the project coordinator.
- Transport finished pieces back to the company’s collection point, ensuring all items are securely packaged.
- Participate in occasional virtual training sessions to stay updated on new stitching techniques, fabric handling, and industry best practices.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding client designs, patterns, and proprietary information.
- Assist in minor repairs or alterations of existing garments as requested by clients.
Requirements
- Female candidates aged between 18 and 45 years (all genders welcome to apply).
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Own a functional sewing machine and a sturdy workbench (obras) at home.
- Demonstrated ability to produce neat, fine‑grain stitching with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong sense of honesty, discipline, and responsibility.
- Proven capability to work independently and meet set production targets.
- Residency in Bondowoso or the surrounding area.
- Basic knowledge of fabric types, thread selection, and garment construction.
- Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple orders.
- Good communication skills for reporting progress and coordinating with the remote team.
