Introduction
We are seeking a highly creative Senior Fashion Designer with a strong background in modest fashion to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate is a female designer holding at least a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, with a minimum of one year of professional experience, preferably in the Muslim fashion segment.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop seasonal collections that reflect current trends in modest fashion while honoring traditional aesthetics.
- Create original sketches, mood boards, and digital renderings from initial idea through to final prototype.
- Select fabrics, trims, and accessories that meet both design intent and quality standards, coordinating closely with sourcing teams.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, sample rooms, and production managers to ensure designs are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Conduct thorough market research and trend analysis specific to the Muslim fashion market, translating insights into actionable design directions.
- Maintain detailed technical packs, specification sheets, and fit notes for each garment to facilitate seamless communication across departments.
- Mentor junior designers and interns, providing feedback on their sketches, presentations, and workflow efficiency.
- Participate in regular design reviews, client presentations, and product launch meetings, articulating design rationales and storytelling.
- Ensure all design work complies with cultural sensitivities, modesty guidelines, and the brand’s ethical sourcing policies.
- Continuously improve personal skill set by staying updated on emerging design software, sustainable materials, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s (S1) or Associate (D3) degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- At least 1–3 years of professional experience as a fashion designer, with a strong preference for those specialized in Muslim/modest wear.
- Demonstrated ability to translate trends into wearable designs, from sketch to final prototype.
- Proficiency in industry‑standard design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
- Exceptional eye for detail, precision in pattern interpretation, and a methodical approach to quality control.
- Creative mindset with strong visual storytelling abilities and a passion for innovative modest fashion.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating across cross‑functional teams.
