Introduction
PCP Express, a leading logistics and express delivery provider in Indonesia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Kepala Departemen Bengkel dan Pemeliharaan (Head of Workshop and Maintenance). This senior role will be pivotal in ensuring that our fleet of box trucks, pickups, and specialized delivery vehicles operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of mechanics, manage comprehensive maintenance programs, and collaborate closely with operational staff to support our fast‑paced delivery network.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the internal workshop, including service, routine maintenance, and major repairs for the entire fleet.
- Plan, schedule, and enforce preventive maintenance cycles to extend vehicle life and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
- Coordinate and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians, ensuring work is completed on time, to quality standards, and within budget.
- Conduct daily vehicle readiness checks to guarantee that every truck is road‑worthy and prepared for dispatch.
- Monitor vehicle downtime, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to protect delivery schedules.
- Maintain comprehensive fleet administration records, including vehicle registration, tax documents, service histories, spare‑part usage, and operational costs.
- Manage spare‑part inventory, forecast demand, and initiate procurement to avoid stockouts.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports covering fleet condition, maintenance expenses, and utilization efficiency.
- Liaise with the operations team to align vehicle availability with delivery requirements and special projects.
- Rapidly troubleshoot vehicle issues in the field, providing solutions that minimize delivery delays.
- Enforce Occupational Health and Safety (K3) standards within the workshop, conducting safety audits and training sessions.
- Evaluate mechanic performance, identify training needs, and drive continuous improvement in workmanship and productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably SMK/D3/S1 in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- At least 4 years of hands‑on experience in fleet maintenance, logistics, or express delivery environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing a workshop team of mechanics or technicians.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance systems for commercial vehicles (box trucks, pickups, etc.).
- Proficiency in fleet administration tools such as Excel or Google Sheets; ability to generate and interpret detailed reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of reducing downtime and controlling operating costs.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight operational targets, and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with field operations, suppliers, and senior management.
- Male candidates only, aged 45 years or younger.
- Willingness to work Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, in a fast‑moving logistics environment.
