Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Pharmacist to lead our medication management and pharmacy consultation services. Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete drug distribution cycle, from procurement and storage to dispensing and disposal, ensuring compliance with national regulations and hospital policies.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical consultation to physicians, nurses, and patients, interpreting prescriptions and recommending therapeutic alternatives when appropriate.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medication safety, including adverse drug reaction monitoring and drug interaction checks.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of pharmacy technicians and junior pharmacists, conducting regular training sessions on best practices, new drug therapies, and regulatory updates.
- Collaborate with the clinical pharmacy department to design and implement antimicrobial stewardship programs and medication reconciliation processes.
- Participate in formulary management, evaluating drug efficacy, cost‑effectiveness, and aligning selections with evidence‑based guidelines.
- Conduct periodic audits of inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels, proper expiration date management, and minimization of waste.
- Prepare comprehensive pharmacy reports for hospital administration, highlighting key performance indicators such as dispensing accuracy, patient counseling metrics, and cost savings.
- Serve as a liaison with external suppliers, regulatory bodies, and professional organizations to stay abreast of industry trends and ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Maintain an active professional license (STR) and pursue continuing education to remain current with evolving pharmaceutical sciences.
Requirements
- Professional Pharmacy degree (Profesi Apoteker) with a minimum of a Master’s (S2) level education.
- Active Indonesian Pharmacy Practice License (STR) in good standing.
- Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and unwavering loyalty to patient safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably English.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Motivation to lead, mentor junior staff, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Open to recent graduates with outstanding academic records; however, candidates with prior hospital pharmacy experience are highly preferred.
