Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Cashier (Penjualan) for our busy retail outlet. This role is the front‑line face of the store, responsible for delivering smooth, accurate, and friendly checkout experiences to our customers. Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, processing cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments with 100% accuracy.
- Perform upselling and cross‑selling techniques to promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and high‑margin items.
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise displays, pricing tags, and promotional materials are up‑to‑date.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reconcile transactions, and report any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, returns, exchanges, and resolve minor complaints, escalating more complex issues to the floor supervisor.
- Participate in inventory counts, restocking shelves, and preparing price adjustments as needed.
- Adhere to store policies regarding shift schedules, including weekend and national holiday work, and collaborate with team members to ensure seamless coverage.
- Follow health, safety, and security procedures, including proper handling of cash and safeguarding customer data.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a cashier in a retail environment.
- Proficient in using POS hardware and software, with basic computer literacy.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and meet sales targets.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including Saturdays and national holidays.
- Professional appearance, friendly demeanor, and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, high level of integrity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
