Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen inventory, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers to secure fresh, high‑quality ingredients at optimal cost.
  • Implement and enforce strict hygiene and food safety protocols in compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with event coordinators and client service teams to align culinary offerings with event timelines, themes, and budgets.
  • Prepare cost estimates, track expenses, and contribute to pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive rates.
  • Handle high‑pressure situations during peak service periods, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality.
  • Continuously research food trends, new techniques, and sustainable practices to keep the catering portfolio innovative and environmentally responsible.
  • Document and report daily production metrics, waste levels, and any deviations from standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a catering chef or in a similar high‑volume kitchen setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine as well as international culinary techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Honest, responsible, and highly dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Proven capability to thrive under tight deadlines and high‑stress environments.
  • Competence in operating standard kitchen equipment and familiarity with modern catering technology.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with occasional overtime for special events.
