Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Community Officer to join our team in Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara. This role is dedicated to empowering low‑income women through financial literacy, business mentorship, and micro‑financing solutions. As a bridge between our institution and the community, you will play a pivotal part in fostering sustainable economic growth and improving the quality of life for underserved households.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned villages and urban neighborhoods to build trustful relationships with women entrepreneurs and prospective borrowers.
- Conduct one‑on‑one and group workshops on basic financial management, budgeting, and disciplined savings practices.
- Facilitate the disbursement of group‑based micro‑loans without collateral, ensuring that each loan cycle follows our risk‑mitigation protocols.
- Monitor repayment schedules, assist clients in managing installment plans, and intervene promptly to resolve any payment challenges.
- Gather detailed information on client needs, identify barriers to business growth, and propose tailored solutions such as market linkages or capacity‑building programs.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan performance, and community feedback using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Collaborate with internal teams—credit, compliance, and product development—to continuously improve service delivery.
- Represent the organization at local events, fairs, and community meetings, promoting our mission of financial inclusion.
- Provide regular reports to supervisors, highlighting success stories, challenges, and recommendations for program enhancements.
Requirements
- Female candidates only, aged 18–33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 qualifications are a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with diverse groups.
- Strong adaptability, detail‑orientation, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.
- Passion for community service and a genuine interest in women’s economic empowerment.
- Ability to travel locally and work independently while adhering to a Monday‑Friday schedule (08:00–17:00).
