Introduction

We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Cook Helper (Kitchen Support Staff) to join our fast‑paced culinary team. This full‑time role is based in our flagship restaurant located in the heart of the city, operating six days a week from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00. As a key member of the kitchen, you will support chefs and line cooks in delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Candidates must be committed to a Muslim‑friendly workplace and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs in preparing and portioning ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
  • Maintain and clean all kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, grills, mixers, slicers) and ensure they are stored correctly after use.
  • Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper storage temperatures and cross‑contamination prevention.
  • Support the plating process by arranging garnishes, sauces, and side dishes as instructed.
  • Handle basic cooking tasks such as boiling, sautéing, and baking under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings to understand menu changes, special orders, and service priorities.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations before and after service shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate order flow and address any issues promptly.
  • Uphold a disciplined, responsible, and team‑oriented attitude, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in a kitchen support or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of various kitchen tools and their proper functions.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English is a plus.
  • Demonstrated discipline, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to observing Muslim practices and a respectful, inclusive attitude toward all colleagues.
  • Basic cooking skills and a willingness to learn advanced techniques on the job.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 kg).
