Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and plate a wide variety of dishes according to hotel standards, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols.
  • Assist senior chefs in menu development, ingredient sourcing, and testing new recipes to keep the menu fresh and appealing.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and help with receiving and storing deliveries to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate closely with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service and address any special dietary requests or guest feedback promptly.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to varying shifts, high‑volume periods, and special event catering requirements.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, kitchen briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance culinary techniques and operational efficiency.
  • Uphold the hotel’s standards of discipline, responsibility, and teamwork, setting a positive example for junior kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age: Open to candidates of all ages, with no upper limit.
  • Gender: All genders are welcome.
  • Professional experience: Prior experience as a cook is preferred, but enthusiastic newcomers with a strong passion for cooking will also be considered.
  • Key skills: Proven cooking abilities, strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Personal attributes: Discipline, responsibility, quick learning ability, and adaptability to fast‑paced kitchen environments.
  • Ability to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods or special events.
  • Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English to interact effectively with team members and guests.
