Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Field Collection Officer to join our team in Pontianak. This role is pivotal in supporting our credit recovery efforts by engaging directly with delinquent borrowers, delivering warning notices, and negotiating repayment plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the determination to meet collection targets while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
Responsibilities
- Visit borrowers who are more than 20 days past due and deliver official Surat Peringatan (SP) to initiate the validation of their financial situation.
- Conduct thorough analysis of each debtor’s circumstances to assess payment capacity and determine appropriate collection strategies.
- Negotiate feasible repayment options with borrowers, ensuring that proposed plans align with both the client’s ability to pay and the company’s recovery goals.
- Monitor agreed‑upon payment schedules, follow up on promises, and take corrective action if payments are missed.
- Track down borrowers who cannot be located at their listed residence or workplace, using additional contact methods or field verification techniques.
- Verify and update all customer information, including telephone numbers, mailing addresses, and contact persons, to maintain an accurate database.
- Prepare detailed reports of each collection activity, documenting outcomes, challenges, and next steps for discussion with supervisors.
- Maintain a daily log of all interactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the internal collections team to share insights, improve processes, and contribute to overall portfolio performance.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 50 years.
- Male candidates only (as per local labor regulations for this position).
- No prior experience required; fresh graduates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Basic knowledge of debt collection processes and legal frameworks related to credit enforcement.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a focus on achieving win‑win outcomes.
- Attention to detail for accurate data entry and record‑keeping.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel within the Pontianak area on a regular basis.
