Introduction
The Field Collection Officer will be based in Weda, North Maluku, and will play a pivotal role in maintaining healthy cash flow for our financial services portfolio. As a frontline representative of the company, you will act as both a problem‑solver and a trusted advisor, helping customers stay on track with their installment plans while safeguarding the company’s revenue.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts, regularly monitoring payment status and identifying early signs of default.
- Conduct on‑site visits to customers’ residences or workplaces within the Weda region to discuss repayment options and negotiate realistic payment schedules.
- Provide clear, empathetic explanations of loan terms, interest calculations, and the consequences of missed payments, ensuring customers fully understand their obligations.
- Document all interactions in the company’s CRM system, updating payment histories, negotiation outcomes, and any follow‑up actions required.
- Collaborate closely with the central collections team, finance department, and legal advisors to coordinate escalation procedures for severely overdue accounts.
- Identify patterns of recurring payment issues and suggest process improvements or alternative financing solutions to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, travel expenses, and fuel consumption for reimbursement and audit purposes.
- Promote the company’s brand positively in the community, reinforcing trust and encouraging timely repayments.
- Participate in regular training sessions on negotiation techniques, regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; D3/S1 qualifications are considered an advantage.
- Age limit: 28 years or younger at the time of application.
- Gender: Male (as specified for this role).
- Strong negotiation and persuasive communication skills, with a proven ability to handle difficult conversations calmly.
- Highly dynamic, self‑motivated, and able to work independently while meeting daily and weekly targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to build rapport quickly with customers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Passion for field work; comfortable navigating remote areas and adapting to variable weather conditions.
- Own a reliable motorcycle and a valid Class C driver’s license (SIM C) for travel throughout the Weda district.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry, reporting, and use of mobile collection applications.
- No prior collection experience required; fresh graduates with the right attitude are encouraged to apply.
