Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver comprehensive Geography curricula aligned with the national education standards for Grade XII.
- Incorporate interactive teaching methods such as GIS mapping, case‑study analyses, and field‑trip simulations to deepen students’ spatial thinking.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, projects, and written examinations, providing constructive feedback and individualized support.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate cross‑subject themes, especially linking geography with history, economics, and environmental science.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans in accordance with school policies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and parent‑teacher conferences.
- Uphold the school’s code of conduct, demonstrating loyalty and adherence to institutional regulations.
- For Madin (religious) classes: teach Arabic language basics, interpret classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), and guide students in mastering nahwu‑shorof.
- Mentor students in extracurricular geography clubs, competition preparation, and community service projects related to environmental stewardship.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geography, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree (S2) is highly preferred.
- Degree obtained from a recognized public university (PTN) is strongly favored.
- Applicants of any gender are welcome.
- Demonstrated loyalty to the institution and willingness to comply with school policies.
- For Madin teaching positions:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning).
- Solid grasp of Arabic grammar (nahwu) and morphology (shorof).
- At least five years of formal pesantren (Islamic boarding school) education.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop engaging lesson plans.
