This front‑line role is essential for delivering a seamless checkout experience, handling customer inquiries, and supporting store branding initiatives. The ideal candidate is a male, up to 30 years old, with at least one year of cash‑handling experience and a minimum education of SMA/SMK or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases quickly, accurately, and with a friendly, courteous attitude.
- Respond to store WhatsApp messages promptly, maintaining a professional and helpful tone.
- Greet every shopper as they enter and exit the store, reinforcing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Enter new‑customer data for bulk purchases, ensuring all information is recorded correctly.
- Assist customers whose transactions have not yet been entered into the POS system, providing courteous service.
- Suggest rounding up purchases to qualify for bulk‑price discounts, doing so politely without pressure.
- Promote current in‑store promotions and highlight best‑selling items.
- Verify that all price stickers are present on display shelves and update them whenever pricing changes occur or after a month of display.
- Inspect product packaging on the floor for damage or opened items; repair or replace as needed.
- Record customer feedback (e.g., frequently requested items not stocked) and forward it to the Purchasing department.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently, taking full responsibility for the cash‑register operations.
- Bag customer orders neatly, accurately, and swiftly.
- Issue transaction receipts and maintain a clean, organized checkout area free of litter or stray items.
- Deposit cash drawer totals to the admin at the end of each shift, ensuring the amount is accurate and genuine.
- Upload engaging content about new arrivals, best‑sellers, and promotions to WhatsApp and Instagram at least three times daily (morning, noon, and evening).
- Participate in creating company branding content, contributing ideas and on‑camera presence when required.
- Support other store divisions during off‑peak periods or when primary duties are completed.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male gender, age not exceeding 30 years.
- At least 1 year of experience in retail cashiering or a similar customer‑facing role.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Demonstrated sales aptitude, especially in upselling and cross‑selling.
- Excellent service etiquette and a customer‑first mindset.
- Adaptable work speed to match peak and off‑peak periods while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency with POS systems, basic spreadsheet tasks, and social media platforms (WhatsApp, Instagram).
- Ability to maintain a tidy workspace and follow hygiene standards.
