Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of traditional Indonesian dishes, ensuring flavor, texture, and visual appeal meet the brand’s high standards.
- Assist in menu development and seasonal recipe testing, incorporating regional specialties and contemporary twists.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety practices, adhering to HACCP guidelines and conducting regular kitchen sanitation checks.
- Manage inventory, conduct daily stock checks, and communicate ordering needs to the kitchen supervisor to minimize waste.
- Collaborate closely with fellow cooks, kitchen assistants, and front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth service during all three shifts.
- Monitor cooking times and temperature controls to guarantee consistency and timely delivery of orders.
- Train junior kitchen staff and helpers on proper cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Participate in weekly team briefings, offering suggestions for operational improvements and menu enhancements.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling, covering morning (07:00‑15:00), middle (11:00‑19:00), or evening (14:30‑22:30) shifts as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked workstation throughout each shift.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a diploma in Culinary Arts (Tata Boga) is highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a Cook or Kitchen Helper in a restaurant setting, preferably with a focus on Indonesian cuisine.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrate initiative, and uphold honesty and discipline in all tasks.
- Flexibility to work any of the three shift patterns and willingness to adjust schedules based on team needs.
- Strong culinary skills, including proficiency in traditional and international cooking techniques, time management, and menu execution.
