Introduction
PT. Mega Karya Mandiri is seeking a dynamic and innovative Manajer Penelitian & Pengembangan (R&D Manager) to join our product development team. The successful candidate will be based at our main manufacturing facility and will work full‑time, Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00. This role is critical for driving the creation of cutting‑edge fiber‑based helmet prototypes and ensuring continuous improvement of our product line.
Responsibilities
- Apply fiber‑part technologies to develop durable and lightweight components for safety helmets.
- Design and fabricate molds using various fiber materials, ensuring precision and repeatability.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of proprietary designs, research data, and strategic plans.
- Create custom helmet prototypes based on client specifications and market trends.
- Conduct systematic product‑design improvements, incorporating feedback from testing and customer insights.
- Prepare detailed research reports, including methodology, results, and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, providing regular updates and implementing assigned directives.
- Mentor junior R&D staff, fostering a culture of creativity, experimentation, and quality.
- Monitor industry developments in fiber technology, safety standards, and competitor offerings.
- Support cross‑functional projects with the production, quality assurance, and marketing teams.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK/Sederajat (high school diploma or equivalent).
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in research and development, preferably in the fiber or safety‑equipment sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentation.
- Male candidates only, age not exceeding 30 years.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovative thinking in product design.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of evaluating material properties and performance data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on maintaining professional confidentiality.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors while also taking initiative on improvement projects.
