Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long‑Distance Truck Driver (Supir Truk Pengiriman Jarak Jauh) to join our expanding logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across regional and inter‑province routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety standards and company policies. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to maintaining both personal and vehicle health.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes for long‑distance cargo, using GPS and company routing software.
- Conduct pre‑trip inspections of the truck, checking oil, brakes, tires, lights, and safety equipment.
- Load and unload freight safely, securing cargo with straps, chains, or pallets as required.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery receipts, and any incidents.
- Communicate regularly with dispatchers to provide status updates and report any delays or mechanical issues.
- Comply with all traffic laws, transport regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Assist in basic vehicle maintenance, such as oil changes, tire pressure checks, and minor repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods on schedule and handling client inquiries professionally.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to stay current with industry best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab environment, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
Requirements
- Male candidates aged between 30 and 40 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Valid SIM B1 (General) license with a clean driving record.
- At least 1‑2 years of experience driving heavy‑duty trucks on long‑distance routes.
- Good physical and mental health; ability to handle long hours of driving and occasional heavy lifting.
- Honesty, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Own mobile data connection (kernet) for real‑time communication with dispatch.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and the ability to perform minor troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; additional language skills are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility with shift changes.
