Introduction
We are looking for a dedicated Pelayan Restoran (Waiter) who can deliver professional and friendly service to our guests. This role is essential in creating a memorable dining experience, ensuring that every customer feels welcomed, attended to promptly, and leaves with a positive impression of our establishment. The ideal candidate will combine a solid educational background with at least one year of hands‑on experience in food‑and‑beverage service, and will thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus with clear explanations of specials and dietary options.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using a point‑of‑sale (POS) system, and communicate any special requests or allergies to kitchen staff.
- Serve meals and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, and portion size.
- Monitor tables throughout the dining period, anticipate additional needs, refill drinks, and address any concerns immediately.
- Promote upselling opportunities by recommending complementary dishes, desserts, and beverages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including table settings, condiments, and service stations.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen, bar, and fellow service staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order delivery.
- Handle cash transactions, process credit card payments, and prepare accurate end‑of‑shift reports.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations, including proper sanitization of utensils and surfaces.
- Participate in regular training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on menu changes, service standards, and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with guests of diverse backgrounds.
- Friendly, proactive, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong teamwork attitude and willingness to assist colleagues when needed.
- Basic mathematical ability for handling payments and making change.
- Flexibility to work six days a week (Monday‑Saturday) from 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays of food and beverages.
