Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Retail Sales Clerk (Pramuniaga) to join our growing team at a busy department store in Indonesia. This full‑time position is ideal for women aged 20‑35 who have completed at least a high school education (SMA/SMK) and are ready to embark on a rewarding career in retail sales. The successful candidate will work a shift schedule from Monday to Saturday, providing attentive service, maintaining store presentation, and driving sales through proactive engagement with shoppers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate products to maximize satisfaction and sales.
- Maintain the visual standards of the store by arranging merchandise, restocking shelves, and ensuring price tags and promotional signage are accurate.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, process transactions, handle cash, and issue receipts while adhering to cash handling policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and report any discrepancies to the store manager.
- Assist in the execution of promotional events, seasonal sales, and in‑store marketing initiatives.
- Provide post‑sale support, including handling returns, exchanges, and addressing customer complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Uphold store safety and hygiene standards, including regular cleaning of work areas and adherence to health protocols.
Requirements
- Age: 20‑35 years.
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Gender: Female (per company policy).
- Full‑time availability – not currently enrolled in school, college, or another job.
- Strong work ethic: diligent, honest, quick‑learning, and eager to work.
- Ability to work flexible shift hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with retail management systems.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
