Introduction

Boston Scientific Indonesia is launching a 12‑month Sales Trainee Program in the vibrant regions of Yogyakarta and Banten/Bandung. This intensive, hands‑on learning journey is designed for recent graduates or final‑year university students who aspire to build a career in the medical‑technology sector. Over the course of one year, trainees will rotate through market research, sales operations, and customer engagement activities, gaining real‑world exposure to a globally recognised leader in innovative medical solutions.

The program runs Monday to Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, providing a structured schedule that balances field work with classroom‑style training. Successful participants will emerge with a solid foundation in commercial healthcare, ready to contribute to the growth of a company that improves patient outcomes worldwide.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Trainee you will be immersed in two core functional areas – Market Research and Sales. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you will contribute to the following activities:

  • Market Research
    • Analyse current market trends, customer behaviours, and competitor strategies within the Indonesian healthcare landscape.
    • Conduct fieldwork such as hospital visits, physician interviews, and surveys to collect actionable insights.
    • Prepare concise research reports that identify growth opportunities and potential expansion zones for Boston Scientific products.
    • Collaborate with product managers to translate market data into strategic recommendations.
  • Sales Operations
    • Shadow senior sales representatives during calls, client meetings, and product demonstrations.
    • Assist in managing existing accounts, ensuring timely follow‑up and high customer satisfaction.
    • Support the planning and execution of territory‑level sales campaigns aimed at acquiring new hospitals, clinics, and private practices.
    • Maintain accurate sales dashboards, prepare weekly reports, and help forecast quarterly targets.
    • Participate in negotiation simulations and role‑playing exercises to sharpen persuasive communication skills.

Requirements

We are looking for motivated individuals who meet the following baseline criteria and possess the soft skills necessary to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment:

  • Education: Minimum a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Pharmacy, Nursing, Biology, Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Graduation: Expected or actual graduation in 2026.
  • Age: No upper limit; candidates must be legally eligible to work in Indonesia.
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • Location: Current residence in Yogyakarta or Bandung/Banten (relocation is not provided).
  • Strong interest in medical‑technology sales and a genuine curiosity about healthcare innovation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably English.
  • Self‑driven, resilient, eager to learn, and comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic analytical abilities and a willingness to engage in both quantitative and qualitative research.
