Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Senior Collection Officer to join our dynamic team in the Blitar region. As a key member of our collections department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining healthy cash flow by engaging directly with customers, negotiating payment arrangements, and ensuring timely receipt of outstanding invoices. This position blends field work with office administration, offering a balanced mix of interpersonal interaction and data‑driven reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site visits to customers with accounts classified as “no overdue” and “1–60 days overdue,” meeting daily and weekly collection targets.
- Negotiate payment terms in a persuasive yet respectful manner, tailoring solutions to each client’s financial situation while protecting company interests.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients to encourage prompt payments and foster long‑term loyalty.
- Prepare accurate daily and weekly collection reports, documenting contact outcomes, payment commitments, and any escalations.
- Support office administration tasks, including data entry, filing, and preparation of summary reports (approximately 20 % of total workload).
- Coordinate with internal teams such as finance, legal, and customer service to resolve disputes and streamline the collection process.
- Identify trends in delinquent accounts and propose proactive strategies to reduce future overdue balances.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and ethical standards throughout all collection activities.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Open to candidates of any gender and any age, with no upper age limit.
- Prior experience in marketing, banking account management, insurance, BPR, or cooperative environments is preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Valid motorbike driver’s license (SIM C) and the ability to operate a motorcycle safely for field assignments.
- Ownership of an Android smartphone for route planning and real‑time communication.
- Thorough knowledge of the Blitar area and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with a persuasive and courteous speaking style.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail for accurate reporting.
- Flexibility to work approximately 80 % of the time in the field and 20 % in the office.
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 16:30.
- Core soft skills: ethical conduct, problem‑solving, time management, and resilience under pressure.
