Introduction
The Faculty of Science and Technology is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mathematics Lecturer to join our academic team. Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and evaluate undergraduate and graduate courses in pure and applied mathematics, including calculus, algebra, statistics, and numerical analysis.
- Develop new course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods that align with international standards and the faculty’s strategic goals.
- Supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses, providing mentorship and guidance to students in research projects and publications.
- Conduct independent research in a chosen field of mathematics, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals, and present at national and international conferences.
- Participate in departmental committees such as curriculum review, faculty recruitment, and accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members on interdisciplinary projects that bridge mathematics with engineering, computer science, and natural sciences.
- Engage in community outreach activities, such as public lectures, workshops, and high‑school tutoring programs, to promote mathematical literacy.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging trends in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching technologies into the classroom.
- Perform administrative duties, including grading, record keeping, and reporting to the Dean of the Faculty.
- Work effectively under tight deadlines and high‑pressure situations, especially during examination periods and research grant submissions.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master’s degree (S2) in Mathematics from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level, preferably with a track record of senior‑level responsibilities.
- Strong research background with publications in reputable mathematical journals.
- Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, enabling clear instruction and effective collaboration.
- High degree of integrity, honesty, and responsibility in academic and professional conduct.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive under pressure.
- Minimum educational background of high school (SMA/SMK) or equivalent for administrative compliance.
