Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Spesialis Rekam Medis to join our fast‑growing hospital branch in Bali. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of patient medical records, supporting clinicians, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our healthcare services. Responsibilities
- Register patients for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency (IGD) services, verifying identification and insurance details.
- Enter and continuously update patient information in the Hospital Information System (SIMRS), ensuring data integrity.
- Manage physical and electronic medical record documents, including storage, retrieval, loan processing, and return tracking.
- Apply accurate diagnosis and procedure coding using ICD‑10 and ICD‑9‑CM standards to support billing and statistical reporting.
- Verify that physicians and other clinical staff have completed all required sections of the medical record before final archiving.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA‑equivalent Indonesian regulations.
- Organize filing systems with a systematic, alphabetic, and chronological approach to facilitate rapid record retrieval.
- Assist the finance department with insurance claim submissions, including BPJS and private insurers, by providing accurate documentation.
- Prepare regular statistical reports on patient demographics, service utilization, and departmental performance for management review.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, and other units to resolve record‑related queries and improve workflow efficiency.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to record‑keeping processes and electronic system upgrades.
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and safe handling procedures for any physical records that may come into contact with clinical environments.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in medical records, health information management, or a related administrative role.

- Proficiency with Hospital Information Systems (SIMRS) and basic computer applications.
