Introduction

The Good Mess, a fast‑growing café and casual‑dining concept in the Greater Jakarta area, is actively expanding its kitchen team. We are seeking a dedicated Staf Dapur – Penanggung Jawab Persiapan Makanan for our newly opened outlet in Cisauk, BSD. This role is essential to maintaining the high‑quality food standards and efficient service that our customers expect. The position is open to both men and women, with a focus on candidates who are enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to grow within the food‑and‑beverage (F&B) industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and portion controls.
  • Set up and maintain the kitchen workstations, ensuring all tools and ingredients are organized and readily available.
  • Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and conduct daily stock checks to minimize waste.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines, performing regular cleaning of surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Assist the head chef in menu development, suggesting improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredient availability.
  • Coordinate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely order fulfillment during peak service periods.
  • Maintain accurate production logs, including prep times, temperature checks, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Participate in regular training sessions on new cooking techniques, health regulations, and customer service excellence.
  • Uphold the brand’s reputation by delivering consistently high‑quality dishes while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age: 18‑30 years (no upper age limit for experience).
  • Gender: All genders are welcome.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment; 6 months in F&B is the minimum, with barista experience considered a strong plus.
  • Proven cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong sense of discipline, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Excellent hygiene practices and awareness of kitchen safety protocols.
  • Ability to interact courteously with customers when needed, reflecting The Good Mess’s service ethos.
  • Residency near Sampora, Cisauk, or BSD is preferred for timely attendance.
