Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Supervisor Departemen HK (Housekeeping) Hotel to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and service standards. This pivotal role ensures that every guest experiences a pristine environment throughout their stay, while also fostering a collaborative and motivated workforce. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between frontline staff and hotel management, overseeing daily operations, maintaining inventory, and implementing quality‑control measures that align with our brand’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry personnel.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage for Monday‑Saturday shifts, while accommodating peak periods and special events.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to verify compliance with hygiene and presentation standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities; place orders and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Train new hires on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and guest interaction techniques, promoting continuous professional development.
- Collaborate closely with the front‑desk, maintenance, and food‑and‑beverage departments to address guest requests and resolve any service issues promptly.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports, highlighting key metrics such as room turnaround time, guest satisfaction scores, and cost‑control initiatives.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.
- Lead by example under high‑pressure situations, maintaining calm, decisive, and solution‑focused leadership.
- Foster a positive team culture by recognizing achievements, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging open communication.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in housekeeping or a related hospitality function.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Resilience under pressure with a track record of meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using a Human Resource Management System (HRMS) or similar software for staff scheduling and performance tracking.
