Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our dynamic learning centre, focusing on secondary school students as well as younger learners ranging from 2.5 to 18 years old. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in English language instruction, a passion for literacy development, and the ability to foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver lesson plans that align with the I Can Read® system, covering pre‑reading, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, editing, publishing, and oral communication.
- Teach literacy courses to children and adolescents, adapting instructional strategies to meet varying proficiency levels and learning styles.
- Conduct assessments and trial classes for all new students, using diagnostic tools to place learners appropriately and track progress over time.
- Provide continuous feedback to students and parents through regular meetings, progress reports, and term summaries, ensuring transparent communication about academic development.
- Maintain accurate attendance and promotion records, updating databases whenever a student achieves the criteria for advancement.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to share best practices and stay current with pedagogical innovations.
- Drive student growth and retention by delivering high‑quality instruction, creating engaging learning experiences, and encouraging enrollment through effective assessment processes.
- Support centre promotional activities such as open houses, competitions, festivals, and community outreach events, representing the institution with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Model positive classroom behavior and help students develop essential social skills, teamwork, and self‑confidence.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Diploma level) in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
