Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Guru Tahfidz Al‑Qur’an Senior to join our vibrant Islamic elementary school. This role is pivotal in nurturing the spiritual and academic growth of our young learners, guiding them through the memorization of the Qur’an and deepening their understanding of classical Islamic sciences. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, a solid background in traditional pesantren education, and the ability to inspire students with compassion and discipline.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily Qur’an memorization sessions (Tahfidz) for primary‑grade students, ensuring accurate recitation and proper tajwid.
- Teach kitab kuning subjects, including Arabic grammar (nahwu) and morphology (shorof), with clear, engaging methods.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that integrate Qur’anic studies with the national curriculum, fostering a balanced educational experience.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and individualized support plans.
- Coordinate with the Madrasah Diniyah (Madin) team to align teaching strategies and maintain consistent standards across all classes.
- Organize extracurricular activities such as Qur’an recitation competitions, hafalan challenges, and Islamic cultural events.
- Mentor junior teachers and assist in their professional development, sharing best practices in Islamic pedagogy.
- Uphold the school’s policies, demonstrate unwavering loyalty, and model the ethical values expected of an Islamic educator.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on student achievements and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Participate in continuous professional development, including workshops on modern teaching technologies and advanced Qur’anic sciences.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Islamic Education, Arabic Language, or related field; a Master’s degree (S2) is highly preferred.
- Graduates from reputable public universities (PTN) are strongly favored.
- At least five years of formal pesantren education, with a proven track record in Qur’an memorization instruction.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting kitab kuning, and mastery of nahwu‑shorof.
- Fluency in Arabic; English language skills are an advantage for handling bilingual resources.
- Demonstrated loyalty to the institution, with no conflicting affiliations to other educational entities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational abilities, able to manage lesson planning, assessments, and extracurricular programs.
- Commitment to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
