Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Officer HSSE Compliance & Safety to join our dynamic team on a geothermal project located in South Sumatra (SUMSEL). This role is pivotal in ensuring that all health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards are rigorously applied, protecting both personnel and the environment while supporting the successful delivery of the project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a minimum of five years of relevant experience, and a proven track record of fostering a safety‑first culture in complex industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSSE policies, procedures, and risk‑assessment tools specific to geothermal operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and gap analyses to verify compliance with local regulations, international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and company‑specific HSSE requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and corrective‑action planning to prevent recurrence of safety events.
- Provide HSSE training and coaching to all project personnel, ensuring that new hires and contractors understand safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to integrate safety considerations into design reviews, procurement specifications, and operational planning.
- Prepare and present HSSE performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends, key performance indicators, and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain up‑to‑date HSSE documentation, including permits, safety data sheets, and compliance certificates.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely submission of reports, permits, and compliance evidence.
- Promote a culture of transparency, encouraging staff to report near‑misses and hazards without fear of reprisal.
- Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices across all shifts, including weekends.
Requirements
- Male candidate, age unrestricted, with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Engineering (any discipline) or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in HSSE roles within high‑hazard industries such as oil & gas, mining, or geothermal energy.
- Strong knowledge of HSSE legislation, industry best practices, and competency in K3 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
- Possession of a valid K3 General or Oil & Gas competency certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated integrity, discipline, high loyalty, and a proactive, detail‑oriented work ethic.
- Physically and mentally fit, with up‑to‑date COVID‑19 booster vaccination.
- Additional advantages: valid Driver’s License (SIM A) and clean employment status (not employed by another company).
- Willingness to work a 7‑day schedule (Monday‑Sunday) from 08:00 to 17:00, including occasional overtime during critical project phases.
