Responsibilities
- Greet all guests with a warm, friendly demeanor, manage check‑in and check‑out procedures, and ensure accurate registration of guest information.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the property management system, and coordinate with housekeeping to guarantee room readiness.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries via phone, email, and social media, providing detailed information about the hostel’s amenities, local attractions, and tour packages.
- Collect and follow up on online reviews, encouraging satisfied guests to share their experiences while addressing any negative feedback with professionalism.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages—including coffee, tea, and signature cocktails—to enhance the social lounge atmosphere.
- Organize and facilitate on‑site games, themed evenings, and communal activities that foster interaction among travelers.
- Assist in planning and booking tours, transportation, and excursion packages, acting as a liaison between guests and local partners.
- Maintain an orderly front‑desk area, manage cash handling, process payments, and generate daily financial reports.
- Resolve guest complaints efficiently, turning challenges into positive outcomes and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to address any operational issues that arise during the shift.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- No strict age limit; candidates of any age are encouraged to apply.
- Open to all genders; staff housing is gender‑segregated for privacy.
- Strong command of English (both spoken and written) is essential; additional language skills are a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport quickly.
- Basic knowledge of coffee, tea, and cocktail preparation, or willingness to learn on the job.
- Prior experience in hospitality, front‑desk, or customer service is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, with a standard shift of 08:00‑16:00, six days per week.
