Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Merchandiser – Area Display to join our dynamic retail team in Pontianak. In this role you will be the visual and logistical bridge between our brand and the end‑consumer, ensuring that product presentations are compelling, shelves are well‑stocked, and sales targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands‑on merchandising experience, a minimum of a D3/D4 education, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute eye‑catching in‑store display concepts that align with brand guidelines and seasonal promotions.
- Conduct regular store visits across the Pontianak area to audit shelf layout, product placement, and compliance with planograms.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, report stock‑outs, and coordinate replenishment with the logistics and sales teams.
- Gather competitive intelligence by monitoring rival product displays and pricing strategies, then provide actionable insights to the marketing department.
- Train store staff on visual merchandising standards, product knowledge, and effective upselling techniques.
- Analyze sales data and KPI reports to identify trends, measure the impact of display initiatives, and recommend adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with the sales force to synchronize promotional calendars, launch new SKUs, and support trade‑marketing events.
- Ensure all merchandising activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Work under tight deadlines, often handling multiple store assignments simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Visual Arts, or related field.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in merchandising, retail display, or sales promotion.
- Strong communication skills; able to present ideas clearly to both senior managers and store staff.
- Honest, responsible, and highly dependable with a track record of meeting commitments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Resilience under pressure; comfortable handling multiple priorities and tight timelines.
- Proficiency in basic MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with merchandising software or POS systems.
