Introduction
The Assistant Sales Manager – Business Development will play a pivotal role in expanding our hospitality portfolio by driving new revenue streams and strengthening relationships with corporate and government buyers. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this position combines strategic planning, client acquisition, and team leadership to achieve ambitious sales targets in a fast‑paced, service‑focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across corporate, government, and institutional segments.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives and market trends.
- Maintain and deepen existing client relationships through regular visits, presentations, and performance reviews.
- Leverage a wide network of industry contacts to generate leads, negotiate contracts, and close high‑value deals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling proposals, promotional materials, and targeted campaigns.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate junior sales staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance dashboards for senior management.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to recommend adjustments to pricing, positioning, and service offerings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards throughout the sales process.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to raise brand visibility and gather market intelligence.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field is a strong plus.
- Age: up to 35 years old; gender: open to all candidates.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident, professional demeanor when meeting clients and partners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospitality sales, including room bookings, event spaces, and ancillary services.
- Proven track record of building and managing a wide channel network, especially with corporate and government buyers.
- Strong leadership qualities; ability to guide a sales team toward achieving collective goals.
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools; fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English communication.
- Willingness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional travel for client meetings and events.
