Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Cook – Food Preparation and Service to join our dynamic kitchen team. The position operates on a rotating shift schedule, providing flexibility for those who enjoy early‑morning hours. Workdays span Monday through Sunday, from 06:00 to 15:00, allowing the kitchen to serve both breakfast and lunch crowds efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily food preparation and cooking tasks in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, inspect the condition of raw materials, and coordinate with suppliers to guarantee freshness and minimize waste.
- Develop and propose new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends to attract and retain customers.
- Ensure consistent product quality and portion control across all shifts, delivering a uniform dining experience.
- Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen staff, reinforcing best practices in cooking techniques, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Collaborate closely with fellow cooks, sous‑chefs, and front‑of‑house personnel to streamline order flow and reduce turnaround times.
- Perform routine equipment checks, report maintenance needs, and uphold operational efficiency.
- Assist in menu costing, budgeting, and waste analysis to support the restaurant’s profitability goals.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional cooking experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Proficiency in fundamental cooking techniques, both modern and traditional, and the ability to adapt recipes.
- Deep understanding of food hygiene, sanitation, and food‑borne illness prevention standards.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset to foster a positive team atmosphere.
- Demonstrated leadership potential, with experience training or mentoring junior kitchen staff.
