Introduction

This field‑based role is crucial in expanding Amartha’s loan‑distribution network, supporting household economics, and ensuring the smooth execution of credit‑related processes. The successful candidate will work full‑time, Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will be based in the field every day, directly engaging with prospective borrowers and existing members.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new potential borrowers, presenting Amartha’s capital‑loan programs and encouraging enrollment.
  • Provide on‑site economic counseling to member households, helping them understand budgeting, repayment schedules, and financial planning.
  • Conduct thorough field surveys and feasibility analyses of loan applications, ensuring compliance with Amartha’s internal policies, risk‑assessment frameworks, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports on borrower eligibility, creditworthiness, and collateral adequacy, and submit findings to the underwriting team.
  • Manage the collection process, following up on overdue payments, negotiating repayment plans, and maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with regional supervisors, data analysts, and the marketing team to align field activities with broader business objectives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized mess (employee housing) environment, adhering to health and safety standards while fostering a professional atmosphere for the team.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to continuously improve product knowledge, negotiation techniques, and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Senior High School (SMA) or equivalent (SMK); a diploma or higher is a plus.
  • Age range: 18‑30 years (maximum 33 years for some positions).
  • All genders are welcome; female candidates are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Own reliable motorbike or car to travel throughout the Sumedang–Tanjungsari region.
  • Strong personal integrity, honesty, attention to detail, and disciplined work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Resilience and adaptability to work in diverse, sometimes challenging field environments.
  • Basic digital literacy for data entry, reporting, and using Amartha’s mobile applications; prior experience in micro‑finance or sales is advantageous but not required.
  • Willingness to work on‑site every day and attend occasional weekend or evening events if needed.
