Introduction

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and proactive Greeter (Penanggung Jawab Sambutan Pengunjung) to be the first point of contact for visitors at our busy entrance in Surabaya. The successful candidate will create a welcoming atmosphere, assist guests with inquiries, and ensure smooth flow of foot traffic during peak hours. This role is essential in reinforcing our brand’s reputation for excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all visitors warmly, providing clear directions and information about the facility.
  • Manage entry queues, ensuring orderly and timely admission while complying with security protocols.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails or live chat inquiries related to visitor services.
  • Assist customers with special needs, offering empathy and personalized support to resolve concerns.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs and hand over any required documentation to relevant departments.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and handling small cash transactions for ticketing or merchandise.
  • Coordinate with security and housekeeping teams to address any safety or cleanliness issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell services or promote upcoming events, contributing to revenue growth.
  • Monitor and restock informational brochures, promotional materials, and signage.
  • Work independently during assigned shifts (Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 19:00), while maintaining high standards of professionalism and punctuality.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent diploma.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar front‑of‑house or customer‑service role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay calm and empathetic when handling upset or demanding customers.
  • Strong multitasking abilities – capable of managing queues, answering calls, and processing paperwork simultaneously.
  • Physical stamina to stand or sit for extended periods in a high‑traffic entrance.
  • Self‑motivation and the capacity to work independently without constant supervision.
