Introduction
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Guru / Tutor Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam to join our fast‑growing education team. This full‑time position is based in Jakarta and focuses on delivering high‑quality mathematics and science instruction to junior high (SMP) and senior high (SMA) students. The ideal candidate is a female university student in her final semester, eager to apply her academic knowledge in a classroom setting while developing professional teaching skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry) and Science (physics, chemistry, biology) for grades 7‑12.
- Adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of each student, ensuring mastery of core concepts.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, assignments, and informal observations; provide timely feedback and personalized remedial support.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and performance reports in accordance with the center’s administrative standards.
- Collaborate with fellow tutors and senior educators to develop interdisciplinary projects that reinforce STEM connections.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and professional development workshops aimed at enhancing pedagogical techniques and classroom management.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence among teenage learners.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, areas for improvement, and upcoming academic events.
Requirements
- Female candidates only.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related Science field (or currently in the final semester of such a program).
- Maximum age: 28 years.
- Strong command of fundamental concepts: algebra, geometry, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, and biology.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex ideas clearly and patiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport with adolescents.
- Proficiency in using digital learning tools and virtual classroom platforms is a plus.
- Commitment to a full‑time schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 09:00‑17:00 WIB.
- No prior teaching experience required; enthusiasm for education and a willingness to learn are essential.
