Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Guru Produktif to join our Design and Visual Communication (DKV) program. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about fostering creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills in students preparing for careers in the creative industry. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic learning environment, collaborating with faculty, industry partners, and students to deliver a comprehensive curriculum that bridges theory and real‑world application.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging classroom sessions covering core DKV subjects such as graphic design, illustration, typography, and digital media.
- Develop and continuously update practical project‑based curricula that align with current industry standards and trends.
- Guide students through hands‑on workshops, studio labs, and collaborative projects, providing constructive feedback and mentorship.
- Assess student performance through assignments, presentations, and portfolio reviews, ensuring transparent and fair grading.
- Coordinate with industry professionals to organize guest lectures, internships, and live‑client projects that enhance experiential learning.
- Maintain detailed records of attendance, grades, and student progress, adhering to institutional policies and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and professional development activities to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
- Uphold the institution’s values of integrity, loyalty, and respect for cultural and religious traditions, especially for Madin teaching responsibilities.
- Prepare and deliver Islamic education (Madin) sessions, including reading kitab kuning, teaching nahwu‑shorof, and integrating moral values into the learning process.
Requirements
- Minimum education: S1 (Bachelor’s) – preferably in Education, Fine Arts, Design, or related fields; S2 considered an asset.
- Academic background must be linear with the teaching position (e.g., a degree in Visual Communication for DKV courses).
- Graduates from public universities (PTN) are strongly preferred.
- No concurrent employment with other educational institutions.
- Demonstrated loyalty to the organization and strict adherence to institutional regulations.
- For Madin teaching duties:
- Ability to read and interpret kitab kuning.
- Proficiency in nahwu and shorof (Arabic grammar).
- At least five years of formal pesantren education.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse learners.
- Creative problem‑solving aptitude and a continuous‑learning mindset.
- Proficiency with digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW) and online learning platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
