We are seeking a dedicated Guru Matematika SMA with at least five years of teaching experience to join our dynamic team on the island of Biak. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and interactive mathematics lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school standards.
- Utilize multimedia tools such as PowerPoint, interactive whiteboards, and online resources to enhance student engagement.
- Develop supplementary teaching materials, worksheets, and practice examinations to reinforce learning.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, mid‑terms, and final exams, providing timely feedback and individualized support.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and collaboration.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development workshops, and curriculum review sessions.
- Mentor junior teachers and assist in the orientation of new students, especially those transitioning from other schools.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any academic concerns.
- Commit to a minimum one‑year contract, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mathematics Education or a closely related field.
- At least one year of proven experience teaching advanced high‑school mathematics (calculus, statistics, geometry, etc.).
- Strong command of instructional technologies, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation software.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and exciting.
- Highly disciplined, hardworking, and eager to continue personal and professional learning.
- Open to relocating to Biak and signing a minimum one‑year employment contract.
