Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and operational targets.
  • Implement and maintain robust cost‑control mechanisms, performing variance analysis and recommending corrective actions to optimize profitability across all hotel properties.
  • Oversee the accounting system configuration, ensuring data integrity, timely posting of transactions, and accurate reconciliation of balance‑sheet accounts.
  • Partner with department heads to provide financial insights that support strategic decision‑making, capital expenditure approvals, and performance benchmarking.
  • Mentor and develop junior accountants and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Coordinate external audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure audit findings are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Drive automation initiatives using advanced Microsoft Excel functions, macros, and reporting tools to streamline month‑end close processes.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of hospitality industry trends, tax legislation, and regulatory changes that could impact financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate governance policies, and risk management frameworks.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; D3/D4 qualification acceptable with equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the hotel or broader hospitality sector.
  • Strong grasp of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control techniques.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or industry‑specific systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formula creation.
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing senior management and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines in a high‑volume environment.
