- Lead a cross‑functional team of craftsmen, machine operators, and warehouse staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, defect rates, and on‑time delivery, and report findings to senior management.
- Implement basic computer‑based tracking systems for work orders, employee attendance, and maintenance schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing techniques and 5S workplace organization.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments to develop promotional materials, product launches, and market positioning strategies for teak furniture.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and conducting regular safety drills.
- Provide basic English communication support for international clients and suppliers, ensuring clear and professional correspondence.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the teak furniture industry, with a solid understanding of wood finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory management software).
- Fundamental knowledge of media and marketing concepts to support product promotion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading diverse teams.
