Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Merchandiser – Display Area (Makassar) to join our fast‑growing retail support team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that product presentations across all sales outlets in the Makassar region are visually compelling, strategically placed, and aligned with brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on merchandising expertise with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in‑store visual displays for assigned product categories, ensuring optimal shelf placement, signage accuracy, and promotional compliance.
  • Conduct regular store visits to audit display standards, replenish stock, and adjust layouts based on sales data and seasonal trends.
  • Collaborate with regional sales managers, marketing teams, and store personnel to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze point‑of‑sale performance, prepare weekly reports, and recommend adjustments to boost product visibility and turnover.
  • Train and mentor store staff on proper merchandising techniques, product knowledge, and brand storytelling.
  • Maintain inventory of display fixtures, promotional materials, and marketing collateral, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging retail trends, and competitor activities to keep our visual presentation cutting‑edge.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Bachelor’s degree) in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in merchandising, visual display, or sales promotion, preferably in the consumer goods or FMCG sector.
  • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English, enabling effective interaction with internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated honesty, accountability, and a results‑driven work ethic.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
  • Resilience under pressure with a track record of meeting targets in fast‑paced retail settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with merchandising software or POS systems is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel across the Makassar region and work a schedule of Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
